GlassRatner Advisory Canada Inc. is a leading provider of specialty professional and advisory services, including forensic accounting and litigation support, bankruptcy and restructuring, transaction support services, retained executive searches, and compliance risk, and resilience consulting.

GlassRatner works with law firms, lenders, private equity sponsors, and companies of all types on complex business challenges such as pursuing a fraud investigation or corporate litigation, planning and executing a major acquisition or divestiture, or managing through a business crisis or bankruptcy. GlassRatner employs approximately 200 team members located across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

We are seeking a full-time Marketing Specialist in the Toronto Office.

We are an evolving and growing financial advisory firm and, as a member of the Marketing team, you will have the opportunity to help build foundational elements and a chance to contribute to a motivated and enthusiastic team. This role will require proficiency and passion for design, organizational excellence and top-notch communication to work through the minor details while keeping an eye on the big picture.


Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Update, re-format, and design marketing materials such as bios, one-pagers, proposals, brochures, emails, and newsletters.
  • Assist in the creation of PowerPoints, including client pitch decks, proposals, and internal presentations.
  • Create customs graphics and creative assets for pitch decks, one-pagers, email marketing, and web pages
  • Assist and co-create campaigns to promote specific services, events, or professionals aimed at attracting new clients.
  • Coordinate email marketing initiatives and ensure they align with campaign goals and business objectives
  • Help manage and update the firm’s website with timely and fresh content
  • Help manage and enhance the firm’s LinkedIn account
  • Assist with the employee onboarding experience—providing new hires with initial marketing support (bio creation, web presence etc.)
  • Assist with the planning and execution of events, workshops, and conferences.
  • Coordinate public relations and outreach initiatives, including sponsorships, awards, and company announcements.
  • Proactively identify challenges within the marketing domain and provide unique and innovative solutions to address them.
  • Ensure there is clear verbal and written messaging across all marketing materials as well as effective coordination with team members and stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with firm leadership and related stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in B2B professional services firm (consulting, financial advisory, accounting, or law firm etc.)
  • Strong eye for design and above average capabilities in commonly used design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva etc.)
  • Comfortable working directly with all levels of the organization including an active C-suite and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to build trust and collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams while managing competing priorities, diplomatically.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously
  • Provide superior internal client service and be comfortable delivering under pressure in a team-focused environment
  • The ability to manage responsibilities independently with minimal administrative oversight
  • Maintain high standards for creative quality, consistency, and brand integrity and follow department best practices and brand standards
  • High attention to detail ensuring all marketing materials and collateral go to market with consistency
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to deal with ambiguity and willing to take risks as needed
  • Have a team-over-everything attitude with the willingness to pitch-in, when needed, during times of high-demand

Highly proficient in the following software:

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (Publisher an asset)
  • Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator (InDesign an asset)
  • WordPress (or similar web platform)
  • Email marketing platform (MailChimp preferred)
  • Working with templates and videos in Canva
  • Contact management with CRM platform
