GlassRatner Advisory & Capital Group LLC is a leading provider of specialty professional and advisory services, including forensic accounting and litigation support, bankruptcy and restructuring, transaction support services, retained executive searches, and compliance risk, and resilience consulting.
GlassRatner works with law firms, lenders, private equity sponsors, and companies of all types on complex business challenges such as pursuing a fraud investigation or corporate litigation, planning and executing a major acquisition or divestiture, or managing through a business crisis or bankruptcy. GlassRatner employs approximately 200 team members located across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
We are seeking a full-time Associate for our Los Angeles (Century City), California Office.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare valuation assignments in compliance with USPAP and other applicable professional standards.
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships through meetings, calls, and other communication channels.
- Help clients with issues which may include out of court workouts, debt restructurings, and bankruptcy emergency planning
- Manage multiple forensic accounting and investigative projects
- Prepare pitch books and background information on distressed companies
- Partner with internal financial experts to support multidisciplinary engagements.
- Provide expert testimony in real estate valuation matters, as needed.
- Contribute to business development efforts by marketing services, building client networks, and supporting sales and marketing strategies.
- Manage projects effectively, including understanding project types, procedures, budgets, and timelines, while keeping clients informed of progress.
- Exhibit leadership, professionalism, and strong personal integrity.
- Maintain high standards of performance and accountability.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in meetings, video conferences, phone calls, and written correspondence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree – MBA or CPA/CPA candidate, a plus
- 1+ years experience in corporate finance and accounting
- Strong writing ability required
- Team player, with an ability to excel in a fast-paced working environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize demanding projects
- Ability to extract helpful information from sets of unorganized or incomplete data
- Use problem solving skills to provide alternative explanations to intricate issues
- Proficient use & analysis of computer models and development of dynamic spreadsheet applications
- Technical accounting skills with knowledge of GAAP experience is a plus
- Proficient with PC systems and related software, especially Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
- Has a strong aptitude for qualitative and quantitative analysis and the ability to connect business strategy to performance and due diligence findings
