YOUR MISSION

Production Engineering

• Participate in design reviews to ensure the manufacturability of systems according to manufacturing criteria and applicable standards (DFM AND DFT)
• Participate in design reviews of tooling and various fixtures required in production to ensure simple, repeatable and safe use
• Make the necessary decisions for product optimization at both the manufacturing and assembly levels to maintain quality and optimize costs
• Identify and manage projects to optimize assembly and product processes for continuous improvement and cost reduction

Production

• Establish production/delivery dates and maintain a production schedule to ensure on-time production and deliveries as agreed upon with customers
• Manage operations and ensure the availability of manpower, raw materials, equipment, tools and parts to meet production targets as planned
• Set up performance indicators
• Ensure that quality, health and safety standards, and policies and procedures are respected and consistently applied, and ensure harmony between all stakeholders

Other Activities

• Implement and maintain programs related to personnel management, the training process, quality control and equipment maintenance
• Recommend measures to increase productivity and improve work methods
• Participate in improving work organization and production methods according to the principles of continuous improvement in order to meet the company’s strategies
• Perform all other tasks compatible with duties
• Ensure that team objectives are defined and that technical decisions are made

The ideal candidate for this position will have

• Relevant training in high-tech manufacturing production management
• 3 years of progressive experience
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (DMS, 5S, PDCA, PVA) (an asset)
• Good knowledge of the Office Suite
• Strong skills and understanding of the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) System
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment (an asset)
• A natural ability to approach employees and ensure a positive and constructive atmosphere at all times
• The ability to develop, propose and implement solutions to problems involving inter-personal relationships with all stakeholders under his/her responsibility and across departments
• The ability to communicate both orally and in writing
• The ability to demonstrate flexibility in the face of frequent operational changes
• Good judgement and knowledge of time management principles
• Customer-service oriented
• A strong concern for quality, health and safety
• Bilingual (French/English) both orally and in writing
