Job Description:

TD Asset Management (TDAM), a member of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering progressive investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors. Overview

TDAM Investment Operations is responsible for the end‑to‑end operational enablement and ongoing support of investment and trading activities. The team ensures that all transactions, accounts, and counterparties are established, maintained, and governed in a controlled, accurate, and timely manner. Investment and trading activity is supported by appropriate documentation, account structures, counterparties, cash flows, controls, and records.

The team is responsible for:

  • Market and Trading Enablement
  • Documentation and Counterparty Management
  • Operational Execution and Control
  • Reconciliation and Reporting
  • Risk Management, Governance and Controls Support
  • Process and Efficiencies

The team provides a high level of service, support and professionalism to all stakeholders. Ability to work within strict deadlines, strong problem solving skills, initiative, attention to detail and the ability to make a strong contribution to the team are keys to success. Experience in an investment environment and basic understanding of accounting principles.

The Wealth Operations Analyst will support and oversee market and tax documentation, ISDA amendment, broker/counterparty onboarding, and commission/research arrangements. Role partners closely with Trading, Legal, Risk and Compliance as well as external counterparties to ensure TDAM accounts, trading relationships, documentation and commission/research processes are established, executed accurately and efficiently and maintained in accordance with regulatory, control and business requirements.

Accountabilities – Position Specific

  • Execute and coordinate amendments to ISDAs, CSAs, and related market documentation and strategy enablement, including adding new funds, accounts, or legal entities
  • Lead and support broker, counterparty and custodian onboarding owning account setup documentation and KYC coordination
  • Track documentation status, approvals, and execution using internal tools and logs
  • Coordinate documentation and account structures that enable commission sharing arrangements
  • Support operational execution of soft-dollar arrangements including, budget tracking against approved limits, broker statement and reconciliation and validation of research related payments
  • Ensure documentation aligns with TDAM’s operational, legal, and control standards by partnering with Legal, Risk and Compliance
  • Communicate and respond to internal inquiries related to status, account readiness and trading enablement
  • Maintain organized, audit‑ready documentation repositories
  • Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding and documentation processes
  • Participate in projects
  • Provide support and back up as required across the Operations team

  • Keep others in the immediate team informed and up-to-date about the status/progress of projects, and all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities
  • Support the team by continuously developing knowledge in own area
  • Represent team and provide status updates to outside groups
  • Coverage: Vacation, Health, Canadian holidays

Competencies & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ISDA documentation and counterparty onboarding processes
  • Knowledge of products and processes used in the institutional investment industry
  • Strong analytical, logical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadline driven tasks
  • Ability to remain focused and resolve issues under pressure and in stressful situations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently but possess the ability to work effectively within a group with a team focus
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines and assist colleagues with same
  • Enrolment in CFA program would be an asset
  • Commitment to change and ongoing development
