The Senior Group Manager, Finance, Chief Operating Office reports to the AVP, Finance, Chief Operating Office, and is responsible for providing Finance advisory support for Enterprise-wide COO initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement processes, analyses, and executive-ready materials to support bank-wide cost transformation initiatives, including productivity and unit costing

  • Provide ad-hoc support for COO Monthly Operating Results, SET Offsites, and other senior leadership forums on topics related to COO initiatives

  • Drive collaboration with partners across the bank, including Segment Finance, Enterprise Decision Support, the Chief Operating Office, and segment business partners, to provide timely, accurate, and transparent reporting to the Bank CEO and SET on cost transformation progress

  • Support Enterprise forecasting and planning cycles by ensuring financial data is current, accurate, and aligned across stakeholders

  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and validation processes to ensure completeness and accuracy of reported information

  • Develop and manage a team of Finance professionals, including the recruitment of qualified/skilled resources, providing ongoing training and development opportunities, coaching and performance management activities and the preparation of objective performance reviews

  • The ability to quickly understand and apply complex concepts in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive decision-making

  • A proven ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • The drive to take initiative and identify opportunities to simplify processes and allow the team to execute with speed; is a self-starter

  • Demonstrated people leadership capability, with a track record of leading high‑performing teams through effective coaching, talent development, clear accountability, and thoughtful performance management

Department Overview:

The COO Finance department is accountable for the financial functions of TDBG's Chief Operating Office, and provides business planning, financial analysis, and advice to business stakeholders. The COO Finance team works closely with the business, corporate enterprise functions, and segment Finance teams to provide quality guidance and advice consistent with the Bank's overall financial strategy and objectives.

The COO Finance team provides Finance advisory support to the COO businesses including Marketing, Global Client and Colleague Experience and Enterprise Real Estate, Corporate Affairs, AI2 and Enterprise Digital Strategy, and Innovation & Payments and Operational Excellence.

Job Requirements:

  • University/College education with a specialization in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business

  • Business and/or accounting designation preferred (MBA/CFA/CPA)

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Power Query and Power BI would be an asset
