We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team to work remotely based in Canada.

Reporting to Software Development Manager, you’ll be contributing to a team that:

  • Developed the flagship credit products for more than 1 million users
  • Builds a credit platform that functions our credit products
  • Supports and ensures that our users have the best possible experience
  • Scales our systems to be more efficient and reliable

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be a technical leader of the team, solving hard problems, and enabling other developers in the team to work more efficiently
  • Be a project leader, ensure project delivery meets our expectations for our users and the business

Who You Are

  • You have solid Golang skills, and experienced building reliable/scalable distributed systems
  • You are user-focused and obsess with building the best financial products for users
  • You care deeply about quality, but still able to find the balance between quality vs velocity
  • You love working on hard problems, owning the technical solutions from ideation to completion
  • You work well in a distributed team/remote environment, being mostly independent but will be hands-on if required

Compensation at KOHO is determined through various factors including but not limited to: comparable salary market data within Canada, technical skill assessment, a holistic view of previous work history, and internal pay equity with other KOHO team members.

Target Base Salary Range
$140,000$170,000 CAD
