Job Summary:

The focus of the Sr. Campaign Developer role is to develop, deploy and provide reporting for digital campaigns across a variety of campaign management and email service providers for key clients across all business units.

Additionally, this role is responsible for providing thought leadership on the most effective and cost-efficient usage of campaign tools and utilities to maximize the success of campaigns based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, supporting, building and delivering of campaigns in a variety of ESP or Campaign
  • Management tools as dictated by the client or business including audience selection, segmentation and output of final targeting files.
  • Developing, maintaining, and documenting all processes and ensuring all campaigns are delivered on time and error-free.
  • Managing stakeholders (including clients) on campaigns and the associated deliverables.
  • Editing creative assets as needed to ensure on-time delivery and enhanced success of campaigns.
  • Developing custom landing pages within ESP or CMP for campaigns and develop or advise stakeholders of necessary creative assets.
  • Engaging with commercial team and clients globally to discuss and ideate on the technical details of a campaign.
  • Constructing complex campaigns, guiding design resources, and working directly with clients on deliverables/deadlines.
  • Writing and utilizing SQL queries to create targeted audience lists or report on the success of a campaign.
  • Ensuring robust QC processes are in place and documented, acting swiftly and escalating where errors are identified.
  • Consulting with campaign management and analytics on campaign design; ensuring marketing - as well as technical - best practices are adhered to.
  • Demonstrating pro-active and continuous improvement in all campaigns and processes – generating ideas to be implemented.
  • Sharing best practices and support knowledge with similar teams across Kognitiv’s global network.
  • Building expertise in the complex transactional, behavioral and personal datasets held by Kognitiv.

Background and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science, communications, or a similar field preferred
  • 4+ years’ technical experience with marketing campaign management software (Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
  • 6+ years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, market research or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with SQL Queries, Script Activities, Data Extracts, File Transfers, Salesforce and Tableau.
  • Proficient with SQL (Intermediate – joins, data formatting, etc.) and/or AMPScript, CSS.
  • Staying abreast of the latest marketing trends and technology.
  • Proven understanding of the principles of direct and email marketing, as well as databases and data warehouses.
  • A rich understanding of how to connect the data and use the data to enhance results.

  • Ability to thoroughly research technical requirements, Martech providers or products and provide well-thought-through perspective on capabilities or usage.

  • A self-starter who can work independently but as part of a wider team in a fast-paced environment.
  • An excellent communicator, with an ability to simplify and explain technical opportunities and challenges to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
