We are seeking a highly organized and agile-focused Project Manager to join our dynamic team at Lydia AI. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating global teams across North America and Asia, managing Scrum ceremonies, and driving structured release management processes. You will collaborate with R&D, backend, and frontend teams to ensure smooth cross-functional operations while implementing and maintaining efficient workflows in a fast-paced startup environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Agile Team Coordination
- Run Scrum ceremonies for three key teams:
- R&D team (Canada)
- Backend team (Canada)
- Frontend team (Asia)
- Facilitate communication and alignment across teams using Jira and Confluence.
- Ensure smooth collaboration across time zones (North America and Asia) by planning schedules and handoffs to maintain productivity and minimize delays.
- Remove impediments and ensure teams stay on track to deliver high-quality work.
Release Management
- Organize and oversee regular and hotfix release procedures, ensuring all steps are followed and completed.
- Report release progress and status updates in Slack to relevant stakeholders.
Process and Organization
- Implement and maintain lightweight documentation to support team workflows and release processes.
- Bring structure and predictability to a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Information Sciences, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience, with expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum Master certification preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
- Experience managing software development teams across multiple time zones, including North America and Asia.
- Proven track record of organizing and executing structured release management processes.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Traditional Chinese.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working in startups or fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with Data Science and Machine Learning products.
- Knowledge of scaling agile practices (e.g., Scrum of Scrums).
