To help our company move to the next level and enable us to build an even more compelling education experience, we are looking for a K–10 Math Education Expert (Portugal)
You will serve as a content advisor and expert reviewer for our K–10 mathematics product in Portugal. Working closely with our curriculum and content development teams, you’ll ensure our offerings are culturally, pedagogically, and curricularly aligned with the Portuguese educational landscape.

What you will be doing

• Serve as the first reviewer for Portuguese math content prior to publishing.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with the Portuguese national standards (Ensino Básico, grades 1–9) and DGE guidelines.
• Provide expert guidance on language, terminology, and pedagogical approaches used in math education across Portugal.
• Distill detailed client feedback into generalizable editorial or curriculum guidelines to improve content development/translation workflows.
• Identify gaps or opportunities to enhance content quality, cultural appropriateness, and educational relevance.
• Participate in regular consultations with the Knowledgehook team to provide insights and support product development.

What you need to succeed

• Deep knowledge of the Portuguese math curriculum (1.º to 3.º Ciclo; some experience with early secondary preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in math education, either in teaching or curriculum design.
• Deep understanding of the linguistic and cultural differences between Portuguese (Portugal) and Brazilian Portuguese. Able to review and adapt content for native pt-PT usage—including terminology, grammar, math vocabulary, and teacher/student expectations.
• Fluent in Portuguese and professionally proficient in English.
• Track record of commitment to educational improvement and student outcomes.
• Some recognition or standing within the Portuguese math education community (e.g., published, invited speaker, member of relevant networks or groups).
• A collaborative and humble mindset—you bring expertise but enjoy being part of a creative team.
• Enthusiastic about contributing to an EdTech product that supports teachers, not reshaping it entirely.
