About The Position -
As Technical Lead, Test Automation at Knoldus, you will be responsible to lead, and mentor a team of highly motivated technologist. We are looking out for someone who is passionate about solving real-world business problems to join our team. You will be a key member involved with test automation discussions, lead, and deliver enterprise-class projects using Agile Methodology. You will have the opportunity to stay at the forefront of technology and apply a principled approach to software test engineering, as well as have the opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting projects with our partners using emerging technology.
What you will Do: -
· Lead the team of test automation engineers working on different projects and ensure the quality delivery with all best practices implementation
· Collaborate closely with our product delivery team, performing testing across our web application.
· Code automation tests and perform manual testing within sprints and before releases.
· Improving overall system quality by identifying issues and common patterns as well as contributing to our standard operating procedures.
· Experience with build, testing and continuous integration tools and integrating test automation framework on cloud or on prem infrastructure
· Strong cross-browser and cross-device test implementation experience
· Design framework components with a plug and play approach and integrate intelligent automation solutions. Ability to quickly understand code and specifications
· Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Automation framework or solutions'
· Lead a team in solutions and design aspect and work in Agile/Kanban process.
· Partner with QA managers and directors in establishing best practices for automation
· Evangelise the framework across multiple clients with clear understanding of existing tools.
· Plan and design an ecosystem of tools revolving around the framework and remote execution to assist functional teams.
· Review and manage configurations, builds, branching, and deployment issues w.r.t to Framework and relevant tools.
· Partner with functional champions to gather requirements for stubs or tools.
· Assist in customizing automation framework to fit needs.
· Write utilities / automation tools using Java, Python, Groovy, JS, and C# Conduct workshops and sessions to transform engineers to Automation Champions.
· Formulate automation best practices guidelines.
· Create extensive documentation with examples for framework/tools.
· Triage problems and coordinate with multiple teams for issue resolution.
· Maintenance of requirements traceability.
· Responsible for operational profitability of QA Practice group Contribution to development and maintenance of automation framework, execution of automation scripts in various environment.
· Bring knowledge of the latest test automation technologies, industry trends and best practices to be at the forefront of technological advancement. Collaborate with the wider team, sharing ideas, knowledge and technical designs, as well as improve testability of the application.
· Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the junior team members.
· Active involvement in the Agile process and Release process.
· Promote In-sprint automation. Drive shift-left strategy and continuous testing by working closely with developers and dev-ops.
· Contribute to development of organization level testing standards, process & practices, test automation frameworks.
Note: Candidates having exposure only with selenium, please do not consider this job, as it's not a traditional QA role.
Who you are –
· Test Lead | 14+ years of software testing experience in a professional setting.
· Frontend test automation: Selenium, Cypress, Selenium Grid, browser DevTools usage
· API Test Automation: Rest Assured, Postman, browser DevTools usage. Cucumber
· Performance Test Automation: Jmeter, Gatling
· Continuous Testing: Git, Jenkins, Docker
· Programing Language: Java, Javascript
· Build Tool : Maven
· Frontend test automation : Selenium, Cypress
· Testing framework : TestNg, Junit
· Framework Design: DataDriven and Hybrid framework
· Database: : PostgresQL, Mysql, Mongo DB, Cassandra
· Must have hands-on experience in implementing automated continuous testing pipelines. [Regression, Smoke, Sanity]
· Experience in writing test plan and test strategy for assigned user story.
· Experience in testing data pipelines and database migration.
· Experience in testing messaging queue is plus
· Should be familiar with remote execution tools like Sauce Labs, Perfecto, Selenium Grid, etc
· Should have explored other automation tools such as UFT, WebdriverId, Robot, Sikuli, Robotium, SoapUI, Postman, SOATest, Appilitools, Cypress, Test Cafe, Flood.io.
· Experience working with Agile and BDD practices.
· Unix commands knowledge.
