Operations Director 

The Operations Director is responsible for managing/directing all activities in the Noida Development Centre with a current population for 300+ employees and overseeing the growth of this center. 

They must have excellent communication, organizational and budgeting skills with knowledge of the software development domain, and the ability to interact with staff across all levels and different departments. 

Job Descriptions: 

Direct and oversee all local activities and departments to ensure a smooth and effective operation. Operate with in a global structure to align on strategic goals and local implementation plans.

  • Report to the Global Delivery Director, setting objectives and agreeing plans 
  • Coordinate with each Global support function Head to align on policy, ways of working and manage local implementation plans 
  • Supervise staff, oversee their development and performance within a matrix management structure. Identify/ advance future leaders and oversee succession planning 
  • Track and monitor the day to day running of the operation to deliver successful client outcomes in terms of time, cost and quality  
  • Act as a point of escalation for local operational and delivery issues 
  • Host client visits and generate local client opportunities 
  • Track forecasts, resource allocation and bench management to align supply against demand 
  • Own employee engagement, communication and recognition, promote company goals/ strategy, keep employees informed and celebrate successes 
  • Oversee talent acquisition, retention and people development with consideration for local market variations and trends 
  • Identify and manage local supplier/ partner relationships  
  • Manage property and procurement 
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency by gathering, analysing and interpreting financial/ operational performance data 
  • Manage to operation KPIs, within a financial budget and promoting profitability 
  • Uphold company policies, validate compliance and recommend improvements with consideration for local regulations and legal obligations 

Job Requirements: 

  • Master degree, preferably in IT field 
  • Knowledge-base/ awareness of current IT industry guidelines, technologies and legal rules 
  • Operating in a software development/ outsourcing management position, with at least 10 years of experience as a manager 
  • Strong leadership & project management skills 
  • Excellent Problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent Communication skills 
  • Excellent Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting skills 
  • Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills. 
  • High sense of organization and responsibility, demonstrate “can do” working attitude 
  • Builds trust and strong values within his management team  
  • Demonstrate excellent adaptability, flexibility, and mobility 
  • Builds strong relationships across a wide and varied internal network 
  • Some international travel required 
  • Fluent in English
