In this role, you will lead internal budget-to-actuals reporting, develop and maintain the financial forecast model, and ensure accurate and timely reporting, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve company processes and reporting.

As the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will bring an analytical, collaborative, and business-oriented approach to your work. You will be responsible for analyzing revenue, costs, expenses, and margins by product family and sales channel, including explaining variances between plan and actuals. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves, dig into the numbers, and uncover the root causes of financial variances

The Opportunity:

  • Manage the creation of the consolidated annual budget and quarterly forecasts for the company

  • Perform financial analysis as a business partner, focusing on revenue, costs, expenses, and margins by product family and sales channel

  • Assist with database management, ensuring financial budget and forecast data is accurate across various platforms

  • Serve as a business partner to functional leaders and provide recommendations to improve processes within each area

  • Collaborate with the business to identify and validate key assumptions, incorporating them into monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and outlooks

  • Monitor performance and follow up on variances across the business

  • Conduct cost center analysis across the organization

  • Perform financial analysis for project and scenario evaluations

  • Contribute to defining guidelines, instructions, and reporting content in alignment with Corporate Finance

About You:

  • You are curious about how a business operates and how that translates into financial performance

  • You have strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to identify when something doesn’t look right

  • You are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • You operate with a strong sense of urgency and accountability

  • You are naturally curious and motivated to uncover the drivers behind broader company trends

  • You are a proactive problem solver who challenges the status quo and contributes thoughtful ideas to improve processes

  • You are positive, collaborative, and inspired by Knix and our mission

Qualifications:

  • A university degree (B.A.) in commerce, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 3 to 4 years of progressive experience in a finance role, with a focus on budgeting and planning

  • Experience in a retail or direct-to-consumer business is strongly preferred

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management

  • Experience with consolidation and reporting systems, along with general accounting knowledge (corporate and managerial)

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including P&L, cash flow, and working capital

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience building executive presentations in PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
