Knix is hiring a Manager of Talent Acquisition! We're seeking a talented and passionate Talent Acquisition leader who will tactically lead our TA team into our next growth stage across North America. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to an existing team of TA Specialists, being hands-on in the day-to-day efforts around recruitment for our high-growth Retail and Head Office (HQ) positions, and supporting the overall long-term strategy for recruitment at Knix. We're looking for a proven leader who will have a far-reaching impact on building a diverse, mission-aligned team of high-impact individuals.
On top of managing a high-performing team, the successful candidate will also need to be able to "roll up their sleeves" and directly handle positions within retail and HQ. The bigger your appetite to learn new areas of the business, the greater your opportunity to diversify your experience. This role will require partnering with various stakeholders, (such as executives, management, and the People Operations team who lead the different areas of our business) to implement and oversee activities, policies, and programs that support the acquisition, retention and mobility of our valued employees.
About You:
- You are an experienced and hands-on Talent Acquisition leader with a strong ability to lead teams with a diverse hiring portfolio.
- You are resilient and can navigate challenging situations while problem-solving & pivoting to ensure the team's success.
- You are passionate about full-cycle recruitment and can lead by example by successfully managing your own requisition load.
- You understand that a successful recruitment function is only possible with excellent candidate and hiring manager experience, proactive sourcing, employer branding and data hygiene.
- You're a natural collaborator and a clear communicator. You foster great relationships with stakeholders across the business and influence by leveraging data + and expertise.
- You are passionate about developing talent and aligning your team across initiatives that evolve their skill set while driving business results.
- You are passionate about hiring top talent and ensuring the team equitably attracts & hires candidates with diverse backgrounds, skills and thought.
- Your process is iterative, data-driven, and people-centric. You are strategic in your approach and love to see things through to completion while measuring results.
- Above all, you're proactive, positive and inspired by Knix's mission.
About the Role:
- Provide tactical talent acquisition leadership to a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists to support the rapid growth of Knix within our Retail locations and Head Office (HQ).
- Build strong relationships with retail and HQ client groups to gain an understanding of hiring goals, job requirements and develop a deep understanding of "the right talent".
- Lead and own full-cycle recruitment for roles based on business needs while load balancing with the team.
- Lead employer branding initiatives and ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience across the organization. Seek to improve every stage of the recruitment life cycle continuously.
- Develop engaging and effective recruitment campaigns to attract external talent, as well as research and recommend the best recruitment channels.
- Ensure the TA team is integrated into Talent Management and Internal Mobility processes to ensure we are providing opportunities to high-performing and high-potential employees within the company, all across North America.
- Introduce marketing-leading practices/programs/processes that will position Knix to win the war for talent.
- Lead your team to be superior assessors of talent against Knix's values, culture, and competencies.
- Respond to inquiries on a day-to-day basis by understanding the context of the situation, advising as necessary, and coaching managers on best hiring practices.
- Understand and keep informed on best practice candidate sourcing and recruitment strategies, trends and technology.
Qualifications:
- 7+ progressive years of experience in recruitment with exposure to retail/high volume AND corporate hiring.
- Previous experience and success in a TA management role, providing hands-on, motivational and performance-oriented leadership to a team of Recruiters/TA Specialists is mandatory.
- Previous experience working in a staffing firm/agency is considered a strong asset.
- You are data-driven in your approach to talent attraction - you use data to provide insight, drive change, and showcase successes and opportunities.

- Proven ability to communicate effectively and build strong client relationships with executives.
- Sound analytical, problem-solving solving and negotiation skills with an ability to understand broad Human Resources issues and resolve conflict situations in a tactful manner.
