As the Director of Learning & Development at Knix, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a robust learning and development strategy to foster a culture of continuous growth within a high performance work environment. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will lead efforts to design and execute various learning programs and facilitate workshops, including onboarding, retail training, management and leadership development, impactful workshops, and mentorship programs. You will also collaborate closely with the People team and Leadership teams to create a learning and development calendar and support job laddering opportunities for our employees.

The Opportunity
- Onboarding:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive onboarding program, inclusive of 30/60/90 day plans to ensure that new employees have a smooth, informative and seamless introduction to Knix.
- Continuously improve and update the onboarding program to align with the company's evolving goals and values within a hybrid work environment.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the onboarding process, making necessary improvements to ensure enhancements are implemented and tools are being leveraged.
- Provide guidance and support to leaders in developing comprehensive 30/60/90 day onboarding plans for a seamless new hire transition.
- Retail and Customer Experience Training Workshops:
- Create customized training workshops for our Retail and Customer Experience teams geared towards enhancing their product knowledge, providing tools for resiliency and problem solving, and strengthen their customer service skills in pursuit of building high performance teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that training materials are up-to-date and relevant to Knix products and services.
- Measure the impact of training on Retail and Customer Experience staff performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Travel to new retail locations to onboard staff on Values, Mission and Purpose at Knix.
- Management Development Program:
- Design and implement a management development program to prepare new managers for their roles and responsibilities.
- Provide leadership coaching and support to new managers to help them excel in their positions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the program and make enhancements to meet evolving leadership needs.
- Customized Workshops for Learning & Development:
- Develop and facilitate customized workshops on various topics such as leadership, communication, feedback, and other areas of personal growth to support development at all levels within the organization.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and potential external resources to deliver high-impact learning experiences.
- Collect feedback and assess the impact of workshops to continuously improve content and delivery.
- Mentorship Program:
- Establish and manage a mentorship program to foster knowledge transfer and career growth within the organization.
- Match mentors and mentees based on individual goals and development needs.
- Monitor the progress of mentorship relationships and provide support as necessary.
- Career Development Opportunities:
- Partner with the People Team and department leaders to create clear job development opportunities for employees.
- Define career paths, skill requirements, and performance expectations for each role and job level within the organization.
- Work with employees at all job levels to identify their career goals and provide guidance on how to progress within the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in designing and implementing customized learning and development programs.
- Strong business acumen in supporting a high performance work environment.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Highly data-driven to support quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with an expert capacity to build and deliver engaging presentations in various formats
- Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities.
- Adept at implementing and utilizing new software tools to improve efficiency and enhance productivity.
- Ability to partner effectively with the People Business Partners as well as with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptable and comfortable with change and fast growth.
- Highly organized with excellent project management skills.
- Experience working in fast-growth, entrepreneurial environments.
- Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
