Klir is on a mission to make water better. Our customers are global leaders in water management. We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer that can help us build-in quality to every aspect of our platform.
In this role, you ensure the team achieves built-in code quality. You drive testing strategies and develop test cases that help us deliver a solid enterprise solution. You help build test automations so we can deliver a validated release with minimal delay. You advocate quality policies that guide the entire team.
Responsibilities
- Meeting with the software design team to discuss test-ability and verification methods.
- Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.
- Sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.
- Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.
- Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.
- Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.
- Collaborating with the development team to solve application faults.
- Planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
- Creating and maintaining company documentation, such as quality manuals and quality procedures.
- Engaging all team members within Klir in quality improvements and testing.
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Software QA role
- Expertise in principles and methods for software testing
- Test-driven development (TDD) practices
- Customer advocacy and customer focus
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Estimating work
- Test case authoring
- Test case execution
- Test result & root-cause analysis
- Experience in an early-stage start up or proven track record operating in earliest stages of a product.
- Work in GMT -4 timezone hours
Desirable:
- Requirements analysis
- Testing strategy
- Proficiency with automation tools like Selenium, Playright and Testproject.io
- Proficiency with test management tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA
- Experience navigating and understanding code, using software languages like C# and Javascript
- Experience writing SQL queries and working with database systems
