As the Inventory and Shipping Associate, you’ll lead Kepler’s company-wide supply chain activities, ensuring our engineering and manufacturing teams have the supplies and parts needed to design, test, and produce Kepler’s next-generation constellation of satellites. You’ll also play a critical role in shipping out our satellites and equipment to virtually any place in the world! You’ll own the upstream and downstream supply chain activities including logistics, customs, export permits, and inventory management.
In this newly expanded position, there will be a mix of following established and routine processes (80% of the time) while also having the opportunity to improve the day-to-day of our logistics and inventory management activities (20% of the time). We’ll be looking to you to maintain the processes playbook and implement new systems to add value to our supply chain activities.

Responsibilities:
- Daily management logistics for pickups and deliveries of all shipments both domestically and internationally, including customs paperwork preparation and coordination with carriers
- Problem solve for any cases of missing documents import/export discrepancies
- Daily unload, sort and distribute incoming shipments. Receive products, inspect material for visual defects, accuracy and process CoC/packing slips in NetSuite as per Standard Operating Procedures
- Prepare shipments by ensuring all necessary documentation, labelling, and packaging materials are properly utilized Standard Operating Procedures
- Daily management inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Lead inventory management activities such inventory counts and recording incoming/outgoing transactions, picking product for sales and work orders
- Coordinate with internal departments to fulfil production and customer orders while prioritizing orders based on urgency and customer requirements
- Contribute to a team effort and undertake other special projects as requested
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance shipping efficiency and accuracy
Requirements:
- High School diploma, with additional courses and training in Inventory Control, Logistics or Supply Chain Management would be an asset
- Up to 3 year of logistics/inventory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Shipping and Receiving
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent software skills, with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Proficient in MS Office applications, with intermediate expertise with Excel
- Affinity for turning an ambiguous and unstructured situation into a repeatable process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable liaising with external parties
- Must be able to move delivered packages as required (up to 10kg)
- Must be able to perform considerable amount of physical work such as standing for extended periods of time and handling materials
Bonus Points:
- Previous experience in aerospace/automotive warehouse environment
- Previous experience working with customs and international shipments
- Previous NetSuite ERP experience
- Know safe storage and handling procedures for electronics and mechanical components
- Hazardous goods storage, handling, and shipping expertise
