Keeper is a digital memorialization solutions provider driven by passionate people who help individuals, cemeteries, funeral homes and government agencies create beautiful and meaningful online memorial experiences. We are looking to add another member of our energetic and skilled dev family.

This Developer role will be primarily focused on the Veteran's Legacy Memorial project for the US Department of Veteran's Affairs (https://www.vlm.cem.va.gov), a high visibility project that honors our nation's veterans.

Roles and Responsibilities

Your mandate is to help build the Keeper platform and fulfill requests for modifications and changes. Full wireframes will be provided prior to coding. Depending on the project's needs, you will also be responsible for adapting the components and performing the necessary custom development.

• Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
• Create and optimize web app interfaces, in a simple, clear and intuitive way using the latest technologies in JavaScript and CSS to allow the platform to stand out
• Code Front End application using React.js, Next.js and Redux from Figma and Adobe XD wireframes
• Implement backend APIs and microservices
• Implement third party tools and APIs
• Analyze, develop, optimize, configure and test platforms
• Assist in code review, quality assurance testing and automated testing
• Ensure the quality of the software delivered
• Attend and participate in daily scrum meetings
• Assist teammates in finding solutions to technical roadblocks

Knowledge and Skills we are looking for:

• Advanced experience in web development
• Expert in JavaScript programming languages, CSS, Scss, and Accessible design
• Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with Responsive Web Design technologies
• Advanced in React.js, Next.js, Redux, JavaScript
• Knowledge of AWS architecture and tools such as CodeCommit, Buckets, Cloud9, Amplify
• Knowledge of good SEO architecture practices
• Proficient in Git and GitHub
• Experience implementing third party APIs and tools (Google Maps, Facebook API, etc.)
