For over 40 years, we’ve partnered with clients across the globe to deliver world-class technology and expertise in energy and process management. As leaders in Digital Energy Management and Carbon Emissions Management, we bring innovative, award-winning solutions that help our clients decarbonize, digitize, and optimize operations. We know what it takes to roadmap to net zero—and beyond—and we know how to deliver it.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Strategy Principal Consultant with a background in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 6 years of hands-on Reliability and Maintenance (RAM) experience in industrial environments such as refineries, LNG, or upstream operations.

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to executive-level clients, shaping asset management strategies that drive long-term operational excellence, risk reduction, and sustainability. You’ll be responsible for leading consulting engagements, managing project teams, and delivering transformative, data-driven RAM solutions tailored to client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Strategy Advisory: Partner with senior stakeholders to assess existing asset management practices and recommend RAM-focused strategies that improve reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Project Leadership: Oversee full project lifecycle—scoping, planning, execution, and delivery—while leading cross-functional teams across global client sites and remote settings.
  • RAM Program Development: Design and implement asset integrity and maintenance strategies, including preventative and predictive maintenance, reliability assessments, turnaround planning, and SAP PM integration.
  • Digital Transformation: Leverage KBC and Yokogawa digital solutions (AI, ML, data science, visualization tools) to enhance asset monitoring, diagnostics, and performance optimization.

Key Accountabilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships across multiple client levels to ensure successful delivery and long-term value.
  • Portfolio & Account Management: Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying future engagement opportunities.
  • Commercial Contribution: Support sales and pre-sales activities by shaping high-impact proposals and contributing RAM expertise to solution development.
  • Market Representation: Represent KBC at industry events, conferences, and forums to build brand presence and gather industry insights.

Who You Are

You are a Mechanical Engineer and seasoned RAM professional who thrives in client-facing environments and brings a strategic mindset to complex industrial challenges. You’ve led asset-focused initiatives in high-risk operations and have a proven ability to influence decision-makers and guide change across organizations. You're collaborative, analytical, and motivated by delivering measurable value through sustainable practices.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent); Chartered Engineer status is a strong advantage.
  • Experience: At least 6 years’ experience in Reliability and Maintenance, with a focus on asset performance in refinery, chemical, petrochemical, upstream, or LNG operations.
  • RAM Expertise: Deep understanding of asset management frameworks, including reliability engineering, maintenance strategy development, turnaround optimization, and asset criticality assessments.
  • Digital Acumen: Familiarity with modern technologies such as SAP PM, AI/ML tools, predictive maintenance platforms, and data visualization for operational insights.
  • Leadership & Consulting: Proven ability to lead teams, influence clients, and manage multiple high-impact engagements in a fast-paced consulting environment.
