KBC is seeking a Flaretot Product Development Specialist to enhance our cutting-edge Flaretot product, contribute to advanced modelling solutions, and support both internal teams and global clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

Flaretot Development

• Develop and implement new functionalities for KBC’s Flaretot product.
• Maintain and improve existing code while resolving defects following agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with product managers and technical teams to deliver innovative, documented, and high-quality solutions.

Roadmap and Innovation

• Contribute to the software development roadmap by aligning priorities with business needs.
• Research emerging trends and evaluate their impact on KBC’s solutions.

Advanced Consulting and Client Engagement

• Provide expert consulting to internal and external clients for modelling applications.
• Engage with clients to understand their challenges and deliver tailored solutions.

Data Analysis and Reporting

• Analyse data to identify trends, draw insights, and create actionable recommendations.

Collaboration and Continuous Development

• Build relationships with internal and external subject matter experts to address challenges and deliver impactful solutions.
• Participate in ongoing learning and development to remain at the forefront of industry advancements.

Your Expertise

Technical Specialist

• Proficient in C++ and FORTRAN, with experience in numerical methods and mathematical modelling techniques.
• Familiarity with engineering simulation tools such as Petro-SIM or VM-EMS is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of flare network design, process safety systems, or advanced computing (AI/ML, cloud technologies) is a plus.

Collaborative Innovator

• Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills, with a talent for solving complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions.

Emerging Professional

• Approximately 3 years of software development experience in a commercial environment, preferably within the energy or chemical industries.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to personal and professional development.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on programming, numerical modelling, or engineering applications.
