The Opportunity:
Kano is looking for an experienced game developer with a proven track record of developing, and implementing mobile games in Unity. We are looking for a passionate Game Developer to join our Idle games team, where your dedication, keen eye for detail, and knowledge of software design principles can shine. As a Game Developer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting, enhancing, and evolving our Idle clicker games collection through front-end and back-end development.
What you will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with the development team to design and implement game features and mechanics.
- Front-end and back-end development for game features and mechanics.
- Develop and maintain game logic, systems, and functionalities.
- Ensure high-quality code through code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and project milestones.
- Optimize game performance for various platforms and devices.
- Work closely with the design team to bring their ideas to life in the game.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to improve game development processes.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of full-stack experience
- Strong proficiency in C#, including familiarity with game development frameworks and engines (e.g., Unity) where C# is the primary language.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Strong document-based database experience, specifically MongoDB
- Extensive experience with API development (RESTful APIs, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Solid understanding and practical experience with .NET
- Understanding of the tools and processes involved in operating a game-as-a-service
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- A passion for game development with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Nice to Have:
- Experience with PHP or Symfony
- C# for web development
- Experience managing or working with AWS directly
Salary Range:
- $82,000 - $102,000 / year
Kano is a remote-first workplace with an in-person attendance requirement 2-6 times a year.
