We are looking for a Category Manager to focus on ownership of sourcing events and contribute directly to category strategy execution for specific product or service categories, cost savings, supplier relationships, market analysis, and compliance with procurement policies. Manage vendor relationships and support operational and strategic procurement goals across the organization.

If you are proactive, collaborative, and comfortable managing a variety of operational vendor relationships. You enjoy owning contract negotiations, monitoring supplier performance, collaborating with internal teams, and utilizing data to identify opportunities for cost savings and added values, and ensuring compliance at every step.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of category sourcing strategies for assigned categories to meet business objectives.

  • Assist in evaluating, selecting, and developing strategic suppliers, managing relationships, and ensuring contract adherence and performance.

  • Analyze market trends, category conditions, and industry changes to inform procurement decisions and strategies.

  • Support the negotiation and management of contracts, ensuring they meet cost, schedule, and performance parameters.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including business partners, legal, and finance, to align procurement activities with overall business goals.

  • Monitor and report on supplier and category performance, providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.

  • Develops a thorough understanding of the assigned categories and subcategories, their cost structures and broad supply base.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or Related Business Field or 5+ years relevant experience in an industry/procurement role.

  • Ability to interpret data and market intelligence to uncover cost-saving opportunities and make informed decisions.

  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve best value.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present information effectively.

  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Experience with price and cost analysis, market research and trend analysis.

  • Knowledge of industry standard Procurement systems, tools and processes to streamline processes and identify opportunities.

  • Preferred, relevant professional certification (CPSM, IACCM, PMP) - Preferred.

  • Preferred, program/project management skills.

Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation:

The target base compensation for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
