We are looking for a Mid-Grade Software Developer to focus on designing, developing, and delivering the back-end infrastructure for a cloud-enabled product, based on our current, widely deployed, on-premises security and alarm capability. SIS empowers perimeter and physical security professions to maintain proven, high performing security capabilities.
We support Global Public Sector clients world-wide, including the Department of Defense, Federal/Civilian, Intelligence Community as well as State and Local governments.

We work with Microsoft technologies to leverage our deep understanding of creating desktop applications and APIs. Our server-side componen ts are implemented with VB6, .Net, and SQL. Going forward, our focus will be .Net Core and cross-platform development for desktop, web, and mobile utilizing Uno Platform.
Who you are:
We are looking for a passionate, experienced backend software developer with 8+ years of professional experience. You bring a diverse knowledge base that you use to help the team solve complex technical problems. You have a history of delivering successful projects, as well as some lessons learned from failures. You are keen on adopting the best engineering and development practices for running, monitoring and maintaining complex software. You easily establish relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders, adjusting your communication style to different audiences, often advising others on complex technical matters.
Responsibilities:
Support SIS back-end cloud products growth strategy, working on both new features and product maintenance
Take an active part in back-end software development activities – gathering requirements, designing solutions, implementing and shipping code
Adopt and use the industry-best tools to increase the team’s performance and delight our customers
Collaborate with other team members, be reliable and competent peer
Deploy and monitor our apps and services, using cloud technologies
Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:
Must be US Citizen and have capability to obtain and maintain an US Department Of Defense (DoD) secret security clearance
Must be willing to travel to Orlando 3 - 4 times per year
Bachelor’s Degree (highly desired)
Experience with .Net Core, C# and ASP.Net
Experience with Uno Platform
Strong understanding of domain-driven design paradigm
Strong knowledge of gRPC and web services
Strong understanding of object-relational and object-object mapping
Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
Experience with DevOps, Team Foundation Server or similar source control
Experience with Visual Studio
Experience with IIS
Experience with all phases of the software lifecycle
Strong experience with object-oriented design and implementation
Strong experience with creating unit/automated testing, continuous integration, and debugging techniques
Ability to learn quickly
Encourages and accepts personal feedback

Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
