About the Role

Our IT team sits at the intersection of security, systems, and the day-to-day experience of every Janer. We build and operate secure, scalable, and thoughtful internal systems so our teams can focus on helping the helpers.

Jane is at an exciting stage of growth. We’ve built strong foundations, and now we have the opportunity to intentionally architect what comes next. As our environment scales, identity, access, and automation become increasingly complex - and increasingly critical.

We’re preparing for HITRUST certification and evolving our identity ecosystem to support a growing, distributed organization. This role is essential to that journey. We’re looking for someone who can see around corners, design for complexity before it arrives, and raise the technical bar for how we approach identity, automation, and system ownership.

If you’re energized by architecting secure systems, untangling complexity, and building automation that makes life better for everyone - this is a chance to shape the future of IT at Jane.

What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make

  • Architect and evolve Jane’s identity and access management strategy, designing scalable role-based access control systems that reduce risk and support long-term growth.

  • Lead the technical direction for identity, device trust, and access automation as we prepare for High Trust certification, ensuring our environment is secure, resilient, and audit-ready.

  • Design and implement automation frameworks across IT systems, leveraging platforms such as Okta, Freshservice, and low-code or no-code workflow tools to eliminate manual processes and increase reliability.

  • Act as a multiplier across IT and Security - mentoring peers, raising architectural thinking, and influencing standards so we build high-quality, maintainable systems that scale.

  • Champion thoughtful AI adoption within IT by identifying high-leverage automation opportunities, piloting tools responsibly, and helping the team work smarter while maintaining privacy and security standards.

What Experience We Need

  • Significant professional experience in IT systems administration, with demonstrated experience operating at a Senior level and readiness for Staff-level scope and influence.

  • Deep expertise in Identity and Access Management, including SSO, RBAC, lifecycle management, and hands-on experience with platforms such as Okta or similar identity providers.

  • Experience architecting and scaling systems in a high-growth SaaS or technology environment, with strong judgment around risk, security, and compliance.

  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-team technical initiatives from design through rollout, including writing technical design documentation and influencing diverse stakeholders.

  • A strong automation mindset, with hands-on experience building workflows or integrations using service management platforms, APIs, or low-code automation tools, and comfort leveraging AI tools to improve operational efficiency.

If you don’t meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we’d still love to hear from you.

At Jane, we’re committed to paying fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has an annual salary range of $105,700 to $165,100. While that is a large range, it is intentional.
