We’re building a new Developer Tooling team to explore, prototype, and ship internal tools that make our developers more effective using AI. This will include two hires.
One will bring experience building developer tools and workflows; you’ve made other devs faster, happier, and more empowered through your code.
The other will be a passionate AI advocate; someone who’s excited about sharing what’s possible, helping others adopt new ways of working, and keeping Jane ahead of the curve.
You don’t need to be both. You just need to be great at one, and excited to collaborate on the other.
Your Role in Our Journey
You’ll be joining Jane at an exciting inflection point — where our platform is maturing, and our ambition to bring AI into everyday development work is becoming real. As one of the founding members of our new DevAI team, you’ll help shape how Jane’s developers adopt AI tools, how we reduce friction in our workflows, and how we create space for creativity and focus in a complex product environment.

Compensation & Benefits
At Jane, we’re committed to paying fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has an annual salary range of $123,600 to $193,000. While that is a large range, it is intentional. It reflects the full growth journey someone might take in the role, from developing skills early on to becoming highly proficient and ultimately achieving excellence.
Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $146,700. A starting salary below this typically indicates a candidate with strong potential who is still developing key skills. Salaries above this usually apply to existing team members who have made a significant impact and bring deep Jane-specific knowledge.
We believe in paying for growth. You’ll have regular career development conversations with your manager and your compensation will grow as you gain experience and contribute meaningfully to our mission.
