Role Summary:

We are seeking a Product Owner to take ownership of our product backlog, define user stories, and ensure development priorities align with business and customer needs. You will play a pivotal role in collaborating across teams—including development, sales, and customer success—to deliver innovative solutions that reduce risk while fostering growth for our clients.

Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting sales demonstrations alongside the Director of Product, ensuring that our solutions are effectively communicated to prospective clients.

The ideal candidate is solutions-focused, thrives in agile environments, and is passionate about building products that make a real difference in the financial services and RegTech industries.

What You Will Do:

As the Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing the product development process from ideation to execution. Key responsibilities include:

• Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Define and write clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
• Work closely with developers, architects, and QA to support agile software delivery.
• Engage with stakeholders and customers to collect feedback, enhance usability, and refine product features.
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planning to ensure smooth execution.
• Lead product demonstrations, providing technical expertise to prospective clients.
• Balance technical and business requirements to maximize product value.

What You Bring to the Role:

• 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in an Agile development environment.
• Proven experience writing clear and actionable user stories.
• Comfort in working with sales teams and conducting product demonstrations.
• Experience in RegTech, wealth management, or financial services.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, or other agile management tools.
• Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and customer journey mapping.

• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, while mentoring others in the process.

Location:

This is a remote first role, with onsite requirements once per quarter (and additional days as requested by the manager) at our remote offices. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
