Who You Will Work With:

The Sponsorship & Events Specialist, reporting to the Leader of Sponsorship & Events Marketing, is responsible for enhancing Interac’s visibility and engagement through strategic sponsorship initiatives. The role supports successful program delivery across multiple areas, including the planning and execution of live events and activations for both internal and external stakeholders that align with the Interac brand and corporate strategy. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and coordination of marketing strategies designed to promote our products and solutions, driving impactful business development efforts and fostering strong relationships with ecosystem partners.


What You Will Do:

  • Sponsorship Management: Develop and execute sponsorship programs, oversee external partner relationships, and coordinate effectively with marketing agencies to ensure successful event activations. Align sponsorship initiatives with overall marketing strategies, remain updated on industry developments, and proactively identify new opportunities for strategic partnerships.
  • Event Strategy Planning & Execution: Plan and execute a range of business and industry events, overseeing brand alignment as well as logistics, budgeting, and communication with stakeholders. Create event briefs, nurture agency and partner relationships, and equip internal teams for active participation.
  • Partner & Stakeholder Relationship Management: Foster effective communication and collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure events and activations run smoothly. Oversee relationships with agencies and partners to enhance the success of sponsorship efforts.
  • Integrated Marketing Communications: Align sponsorship strategies with overall marketing campaigns for a unified audience experience. Collaborate with agencies, internal teams, and partners to maximize channel effectiveness.
  • Reporting, Measurement & Budget Oversight: Oversee and assess the return on investment of sponsorship initiatives, prepare comprehensive reports, and maintain current budgets for leadership review.

What You Bring:

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications and/or Sponsorship/Events/ Marketing.
  • A University degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (e.g., Marketing, Sponsorship, Events, Communications).
  • The ability to listen to, understand and respond appropriately and effectively when interacting with others.
  • The skills required to prioritize a high workload effectively, respond well to pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing business and partner needs.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with external partners and internal teams.
  • The attitude of a flexible team player ready to pitch in where you are needed and are a self-starter who can navigate times of ambiguity.
  • Proven experience in event execution, demonstrating the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute successful activations.
  • Solid background in building and maintaining industry or community relations, facilitating productive partnerships and collaborations.

What We’re Offering:
