Who You Will Work With:

The People & Culture (P&C) Intern will play a key supporting role in shaping an inclusive, growth-oriented employee experience at Interac. Reporting to the Leader, DEI, Leadership Development and Coaching and working closely with the OD team, this internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful initiatives across Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Learning/Leadership Development, and Coaching.

This internship is ideal for someone passionate about people, equity, and learning, and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of DEI programs, events, and communications. Help track progress against DEI goals and contribute to research and benchmarking efforts.

  • Help manage and track learning activities across the organization, including scheduling, reporting, and maintaining learning systems and tools.

  • Contribute to the rollout and evolution of our leadership development strategy by supporting program logistics, communications, and participant engagement.

  • Assist in establishing a formal internal coaching practice, including research, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to support projects related to DEI, Learning and Coaching

  • Gain exposure to how organizations design and develop best practice inclusive DEI strategies and leadership learning interventions that support the growth of our talent.

What You Bring:

  • You are studying Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour, Psychology, Business, Administration, Psychology, Social Work

  • Solid verbal, written and analytical communication skills. You are able to articulate and organize your thoughts succinctly

  • Proven time management and organization skills. You are able to prioritize and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines

  • You have proven experience being trusted to handle sensitive tasks and conversations with confidentiality and discretion

  • Understanding that success is in the details You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve help to inform your decision making

  • Able to be flexible especially in re-setting the priorities

  • Understand diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Relationship-building and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop trust and confidence, work effectively and collaborative with individuals across multiple functions and levels

  • Ability to interpret data and identify trends

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, Power BI, MS Teams) with preference for working knowledge of Excel

  • Although not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following:

  • A self-starter mindset with a drive for continuous learning and desire to understand what motivates people and how to engage diverse individuals

  • Knowledge in Workday or a similar human resources information system

What We’re Offering:

The hourly pay range for this position is $21 to $23, and the internship term runs from May to August 2026. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge. An internship opportunity at Interac also features:
