What You Will Do

Product Ownership & Roadmap Leadership

  • Own and evolve the roadmap for Interac Direct, a real‑time, account‑based payment solution serving both issuers and acquirers.

  • Drive the end‑to‑end delivery of product features and enhancements (e.g., Notifications, real‑time transaction capabilities, dispute flows), ensuring they meet business objectives and deliver measurable value.

  • Lead and support integrations with issuers, acquirers, and merchants as the platform expands across categories and financial institutions.

Feature Delivery & Execution

  • Drive the delivery of product features end-to-end, including scoping, planning, development, testing, and cross-functional execution across business, design, engineering, compliance, and operations.

  • Ensure product decisions align with regulatory, technical, and operational constraints while enabling scalability and reliability across the network.

Requirements & Planning

  • Write clear, detailed product requirements and user stories aligned with OKRs, including precise acceptance criteria.

  • Facilitate refinement, elaboration, and brainstorming sessions with stakeholders and development teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.

  • Prioritize tickets and sprint backlogs to maintain development velocity and ensure release readiness.

Release & Operational Management

  • Prepare detailed release notes for every deployment, ensuring cross‑functional transparency and operational alignment.

  • Partner with operations, support, and client‑facing teams to ensure readiness for new features or platform changes.

  • Identify and resolve delivery pain points in collaboration with engineering and Scrum Masters.

Issuer/Acquirer Portal Ownership

  • Own the ongoing content and usability of the Portal, updating the guide quarterly to reflect product changes.

  • Drive UI/UX improvements, including localization (e.g., French translations), usability refinements, and enhancements that improve client experience.

Customer Experience & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback from issuers, acquirers, merchants, and internal partners.

  • Collaborate with marketing, support, analytics, and operations to optimize go‑to‑market plans.

  • Support client onboarding with documentation, updates, and portal guidance.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Analyze post‑launch performance, define success metrics, and identify opportunities for iteration and optimization.

  • Contribute to long‑term strategic planning to ensure Interac Direct remains competitive and aligned with industry and ecosystem trends.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of product management or equivalent relevant experience, ideally within payments, fintech, or platform‑based environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to define and deliver complex, multi-stakeholder features end-to-end.

  • Experience working with APIs, technical integrations, and performance considerations such as latency, throughput, and real‑time systems.

  • Working knowledge of Agile delivery, backlog hygiene, sprint planning, and cross-functional ceremonies.

  • Proven ability to translate customer, operational, and market insights into scalable product solutions.
