Who You Will Work With:
Reporting to the Leader, Compliance, the vacant, Enterprise Compliance, Testing & Controls, Lead will be responsible for building and maintaining Interac’s enterprise compliance testing & controls program. You will lead business units and corporate functions in the identification of key compliance controls. You will execute against a 3-year strategic plan designed to build a technology-driven regulatory compliance management framework that effectively manages regulatory risk while maintaining a right-sized, scalable, and highly efficient operational footprint. You will build and maintain an inventory of compliance controls mapped to applicable compliance obligations. You will design and lead a risk-based 3-year compliance testing plan. You will implement a monitoring program that provides real-time and data-driven line of sight into the status of compliance obligations and associated risks. You will bring deep awareness and knowledge of applicable regulatory standards as well as cross-industry compliance best practices. You will provide compliance oversight on corporate functions as well as support and standardization for product compliance verticals. You will focus on enhancing control oversight and compliance practices utilizing automation and proactive detection mechanisms. This is a fast-paced senior compliance role which requires strong analytical skills, ability to lead, and in-depth compliance experience.
What You Will Do:
Design and operationalize the enterprise compliance monitoring and testing program.
Lead business units and corporate functions in the identification of key controls and mapping to applicable compliance obligations.
Build and execute a risk-based 3-year compliance testing plan designed to measure control effectiveness and identify of control gaps/weaknesses.
Implement automated and data driven continuous monitoring of control health trends, anomaly detection, and emerging risks.
Prepare detailed reports and recommendation related to test results, compliance gaps and remediation plans.
Update documentation as a result of change in regulations or based on testing outcomes.
Design and operationalize training programs for employees on how complete compliance tests/assessments.
Identify and implement efficiencies, automation, and improvements to compliance effectiveness; and
Conduct complex multi-party compliance investigations.
What You Bring:
7-9 years of hands-on experience as a senior compliance and risk professional with a specific focus on testing and/or internal audit functions.
In-depth experience designing, implementing, and executing compliance testing programs.
Ability to perform detailed research, risk/compliance assessments, and due diligence.
Knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables associated with eliciting, clearly defining and documenting required compliance practices.
The ability to give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information.
Confidence in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
Understanding that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
You are a proactive problem-solver with a demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

The hiring range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
