We’re looking for a talented Business Systems Analysis (BSA) teammate who has experience in the Financial Crimes Ecosystem (FCE). Reporting to the Practice Leader of BSA, you’ll partner with a team of Business Systems Analysts who play a critical role in delivering enhancements and launching products across the Interac ecosystem. You’ll be part of the delivery of high-quality system requirements that support strategic business goals, cross-functional alignment, and a culture of continuous improvement.
You'll be responsible for:
Fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture aligned with Interac’s values
Partnering with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, QA, Operations, and external vendors to gather requirements, align project objectives and drive successful delivery
Creating and maintaining functional and non-functional structured systems requirements and contributing to the documentation and grooming of epics and user stories
Promoting knowledge sharing across teams and contribute to the evolution of business systems analysis practice with empathy and kindness
Implementing and improving frameworks for traceability, impact analysis, and quality assurance of business systems requirements
Adopting, implementing and operationalising best practices with the goal of great customer experience
Ensuring consistent delivery, quality standards, facilitation, and stakeholder management standards
Supporting team members in navigating complex projects and encouraging innovative thinking in solutions design
Ensuring consistent use of tools, templates, and documentation standards across all products and projects
You bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Systems, or a related field—or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience as a BSA, with at least 2 years in fraud prevention or cybersecurity domains
Strong understanding of business systems analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices
Top tier communications, documentation, grace and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Strong understanding of fraud detection systems, cybersecurity domains
Good understanding of the payments industry, including technologies such as chip/contactless payments (EMV), settlement and reconciliation systems, and POS/ABM ecosystems
Experience managing enterprise IAM systems across a hybrid on-prem/cloud environment, including Active Directory, Azure-based identity services, and enterprise messaging and database platforms
Strong understanding of Open APIs as publicly accessible, RESTful interfaces that support secure, scalable integration across distributed systems
Familiarity with regulatory requirements e.g., AML, KYC, GDPR, SOX
Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools, e.g., SQL, Power BI
Comfortable with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence); user management, site creation, project creation, workflow
Curious nature and logical approach to bridge business and technology, process or procedural challenges in a team environment
Agile and Scrum methodology experience
Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity
Experience in financial services, fintech or e-commerce environments, or other regulated industries is a strong asset
Project Management foundational knowledge is an asset
