Joining the Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory Team as the LCR Summer Intern you’ll gain hands-on experience by working on contracts and contract playbooks, organizing documents, and contributing to large-scale projects like a CLM implementation, all while working alongside an amazing team of lawyers and professionals in a fast-paced environment.
You'll be responsible for:
Assist with review of standard agreements, and policies under the guidance of counsel.
Support the review and creation of playbooks and checklists to streamline legal processes.
Contribute to the implementation of legal technology, including data entry, organization, and reviewing legacy contracts for upload.
Organize and maintain legal documents in online tools, ensuring accessibility and proper categorization.
Assist with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to develop a deeper understanding of in-house legal operations and Interac’s business.
Observe and learn about contract negotiation strategies, risk assessments and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with business teams to help facilitate legal workflows.
You bring:
Education: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with the intention to apply to law school.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new challenges and learn quickly.
Professionalism: Demonstrated professionalism and a positive attitude and ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Workstyle: Hybrid (3 days on-site)
Location: Toronto
Term: September - November 2025
Duration: Monday - Friday
