We are looking for a Product Management Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in building and improving products that impact our customers. This internship offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, define product strategies, and contribute to the product development lifecycle. The intern will join Interac’s Verified product team, working closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders. You will contribute to shaping product features, gathering insights, and driving key initiatives.
You’ll be responsible for:
Support the Product team in day-to-day activities with stakeholder groups (squads, sales, engineering, marketing, and design) to address product-related issues and concerns
Provide general support to the product roadmap, defining requirements, conducting product research, and assisting in squads to deliver corporate objectives
Assist with general product programs and initiatives, including participation in squad activities (sprints), documenting requirements, and contributing to the product roadmap
Analyze product dynamics and business needs and recommend priortization of roadmap items
Conduct market research and analyze user feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to support product launches
Help track product performance metrics and analyze data to inform decision-making
Participate in user testing, gather insights, and make recommendations for UX/UI improvements
Research, analyze, and maintain information systems in support of the product roadmap using tools like Jira, Figma, and other product tools
Prepare documentation and conduct research as requested by the squad and/or product team
Document and communicate product updates to stakeholders
You bring:
Currently completing an undergraduate degree from a creditable Canadian institution with a focus on Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment and work independently
Familiarity with product development processes and agile methodologies
Analytical thinking and ability to quantify customer needs, pain points and product value - you have an ability to deliver actionable recommendations in a timely manner
Ability to conduct market research, competitor analysis, and gather user feedback
You have a strong growth mindset – you're willing to work and learn outside of your main functional expertise to meet the goals of your team
Understanding that success is in the details – you tend to notice things that others don't
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, MS Teams) with a preference for working knowledge of Excel
Experience with product management tools like Jira/Confluence, Figma, Lucid Chart/Spark, Tableau
Although not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following:
Product management experience
Product development experience (in technical or business analysis functions)
Strong working understanding of Agile
Prior experience in primary and/ or secondary research, pricing and financial analysis, and/or consulting
Workstyle: Hybrid (3 days on-site)
Location: Toronto
Term: September to December 2025
Duration: Monday – Friday
