Reporting to the Senior Principal, Enterprise Architect, the Technical Analyst Intern will work cross functionally with the Enterprise Architecture & Practice and Governance teams to build experiences, deliver real solutions and support with improving Interac’s architecture practice.
You’ll be responsible for:
Developing proof-of-concept solutions for the architecture practice, including automation and Confluence add-ons
Conducting analysis of the existing architecture practice processes
Building out reports for the Enterprise Architecture and Governance team
Performing interviews with key individuals to understand opportunities to improve the Architecture Practice
Working with the agile team to support the delivery of enhancements to Interac’s technology & platforms
Supporting various solution initiatives with a dedicated agile team
You bring:
You are currently enrolled in a university or college program in a relevant discipline, like computer science or information technology/systems, software/computer engineering or similar related field
You can code confidently and enjoy tackling challenging problems – you often utilize your creative thinking skills
Comfortable with learning and working effectively either independently or with groups across different functions and levels.
Confidence in your ability to communicate verbally and written in a detailed and impactful way – you have some experience with technical writing
You are a proactive problem-solver with a demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement initiative
An aspiration to work in software development after graduation
The natural ability to pick up new technology – you enjoy learning about new tools and how they work
Understanding that success is in the details – you tend to notice things that others don't
Although not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following:
A programming language like Java or Python
Front end tooling (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
A single page application framework like Angular JS
Working with databases (e.g. Oracle, Azure RDBMS, MongoDB)
Software design patterns
Understanding of Atlassian, Confluence & Jira
Previous working or co-op experience working as a software developer, engineer or technical coordinator in a relevant field is an asset
Workstyle: Hybrid (3 days on-site)
Location: Toronto
Term: September to December 2025
Duration: Monday – Friday
