The Project Management, Senior Analyst plays a supportive role in planning, delivery and evaluation of projects within the portfolio. They support the execution of project activities, including financial management, project management, and monthly reporting. You will work closely with the Project Manager and project team, providing support and assistance in the gathering, synthesizing, and translating of information, conducting analysis, and facilitating consensus. You will collaboratively with cross-functional teams and thrives in high-performing and fast-paced environments.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Working in partnership with Project Managers in the consistent deployment of the Interac project management methodology across the portfolio of projects, aligned with the project delivery and portfolio management requirements.

  • Supporting risk and issue identification and mitigation activities, including maintenance of Risk, Issue Action Item and Decision (RAID) Logs.

  • Owning the accurate reporting of project health, status and other details, supporting data quality.

  • Performing project staffing/resource analysis and works closely with leaders to develop recommendations. Creates new or adjusts forecasting and allocation models to reflect changes.

  • Utilizing project management software to create, update, and maintain program and project schedules, with new and revised work packages and plans.

  • Ensuring dependencies and links with other schedules are documented and maintained.

  • Project / Program documentation, including developing and monitoring the plan and milestones as required.

  • Providing direct support to the Project Manager for day-to-day analysis and reporting tasks.

  • Gathering and maintain thorough information on project status and performance.

  • Consolidating information into varied program/project views, summarizing details on achievements, risks, financials, action items, timelines, etc.

  • Presenting and communicate information to large audiences representing the project and the EPMO in organizational cross-functional forums.

  • Participating in portfolio review sessions, facilitating information sharing between project managers and project practitioners and stakeholders.

  • Supporting & Administer project request on initial setup and on-going updates to work management tools (specifically, ‘Jira’, ‘Planview’ and ‘Confluence’).

  • Maintaining EPMO wiki/repository with updated templates, announcements, etc.

  • Organizing data in a meaningful manner to clearly identify bottlenecks and over-allocation.

  • Collaborating with Project Managers to collect metrics on project progress (budget, timelines, quality, etc.).

  • Consolidating metrics into a dashboard at a portfolio level and distribute to executives to allow them to view and analyze progress and performance at a portfolio level.

  • Working with Project Managers to plan gate timelines and deliverables.

  • Validating quality of gate deliverables with assigned owners.

  • Consolidating Gate timelines for the project portfolio

  • Creating a highly engaging team model, working closely with Project Managers, to understand pain points and opportunities for process improvements.

  • Curating innovative ideas on how to address pain points, and facilitate decision making and implementation of solutions.

You bring:

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in similar capacity within an Enterprise PMO, using a disciplined PMI and Agile methodology, with strong skills in EPM as a tool.

  • Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity.

  • Experience with Process / Methodology on management of projects. Experience in gathering, organizing and summarizing data and documentation.

  • Experience in managing the repository of the project artifacts, including project documentation, status reports, meeting minutes, reporting and follow up.

  • Deep understanding of project development life cycle – planning, execution & control methodology

  • Expertise in Tools – JIRA, Confluence, Planview, etc.

  • Strong Office skills – PowerPoint, Advanced Excel and Word.

  • Strong project planning, execution and monitoring skills.

  • Must be a self starter and is able to work without supervision.

  • Excellent attention to detail. Excellent organization skills.

  • Strong analytical skills.
