The Corporate Applications Lead is responsible for overseeing the management, development, and support of key business applications within the organization. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and business insight, focusing on ensuring that corporate software systems align with business objectives. The Lead will work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for technical teams. In addition to handling business analysis tasks, the role also involves project management responsibilities, including planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget. They act as a liaison between IT and various departments to ensure applications meet strategic goals, provide training to end-users, and maintain ongoing application improvements. This position also involves leading a cross-functional team, ensuring effective collaboration and innovation in the management of corporate applications.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Provide leadership and manage the work activities in the area of application management and implementation for Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications that includes new solutions and enhancement of existing systems.

  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for corporate applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategy.

  • Optimize current workflows and recommend solutions to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and improve system usage.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, HR, VMO and other business units to understand their needs and provide technical solutions.

  • Serve as a point of contact for any issues related to corporate applications, engaging the correct resources to resolve application-related problems

  • Working closely with internal ITSM teams.

  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for developers and system integrators.

  • Collecting requirements and display them in such a manner to be used in RFx processes with the Vendor Management Team.

  • Leading/assisting user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation efforts to ensure that applications meet both business and technical requirements.

  • Working closely with project teams to deliver projects on time and within scope, including managing timelines, risks, and change management processes.

  • Drafting communications to all stakeholders and keep T&O group aware of all project risks and flags.

  • Support financial planning and budgeting for application-related expenditures, and managing software licenses to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.

You bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience as a business analyst/lead, preferably within corporate applications in all departments such as Finance & Risk, HR, VMO, Legal, Product, Marketing and IT.

  • Strong understanding of corporate application frameworks, data integration, and system architecture. Experience with systems like Salesforce, ERP, Workday, Jira, or Confluence is highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex business problems, define appropriate solutions, and deliver results that enhance operational efficiency.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment, with knowledge of project management tools such as Jira.

  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems, with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a record of accomplishment working in cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
