Practice Leader, Quality Engineering Governance and Enablement

The Practice Leader, Quality Engineering, will be responsible for spearheading our quality assurance initiatives and drive excellence in software development processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in quality engineering, test automation, and leadership, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation. The Leader will bring a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive quality engineering strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.

  • Defining standards, processes, and methodologies for quality engineering across the organization.

  • Establish and maintain a robust quality governance framework to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Drive continuous testing strategies to ensure early detection and resolution of defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Leading the design, development and implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.

  • Driving adoption of test automation best practices and standards to accelerate delivery and enhance quality.

  • Defining and tracking key quality metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of quality engineering initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

  • Continuously evaluating and optimizing software development processes and practices to enhance quality, reliability, and scalability. Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and streamline of workflows to improvement efficiency and productivity.

  • Providing mentorship, coaching, and training to team members to build technical expertise and proficiency in quality engineering principles and practices.

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure alignment of quality objectives with business goals

You bring:

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in quality engineering, software testing, or related roles.

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) and experience working in Agile environments.

  • A strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and strategically.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, clients, and team members.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower individuals and teams, foster a positive work culture and drive alignment towards common objectives

  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
