Interac is looking for a passionate individual with a strong interest in Risk Management and the payments industry. This position will give you the opportunity to work, collaborate, and gain hands-on experience with a dynamic team directly contributing to enhance Interac's Risk Management practice including the regulatory aspects around PPS and RPAA!

As a Risk Specialist Intern, you will get involved in Interac's Risk & Control Self- Assessment process by supporting our business units through developing business processes, identifying and managing risks related to the respective processes and business units that are working closely to deliver our state of the art payment solutions.

You'll also have the opportunity to work in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform and support the risk management team in building the risk repositories within the GRC tool.

The candidate will also have the experience in working with PPS and RPAA regulations through helping Interac with the documentations around these regulatory requirements.

You'll be responsible for:

• Comprehending complex business process and translate them into plain language

• Analysis and reporting work

• Working with limited direction, establish priorities, and meet tight deadlines Collaborating and working with a team

• GRC tool management

• Supporting the RCSA program initiative

• Supporting with PPS documentations and RPAA regulation implementations

You bring:

• Currently completing an undergraduate degree from a credible Canadian institution with a focus on Business, Risk, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a similar program

• Great analytical abilities, attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to understand, articulate and recommend solutions for complex problems

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidences and work with confidential material

• Expertise in Excel

• Ability to build graphical presentations using Power Point

• Excellent interpersonal skills
