You’ll be performing the automation testing functions & support for Interac Corp. products and services. Reviewing functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of what we build and how to test it.

Developing, enhancing and maintaining certification strategy, processes and documentation and reviewing specification changes to maintain Interac certification process in line with Industry standards and Interac specification evolution. Optimizing and continuing improvements of processes. Creating certification documents – test plans and processes – and will perform or support in the integration testing of the client’s end to end solution. Assist in the planning and managing of the successful implementation of releases and onboarding of clients on to the service.

You’ll be responsible for the automation process architecture and design, recommending an appropriate framework, creating automation scripts, evaluating all scripts and recommend changes as per the requirements.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Quality assurance testing and processes

• Testing automation execution, development and scripting, maintaining and enhancing automation tools

• Writing test cases and test scripts for functional and automation testing

• Reviewing application specifications.

• Maintaining alignment of certification artifacts with technical specifications and business requirements.

• Working very closely with development team and using Agile methodology in all phases of the iterative software development lifecycle

• Advising on certification strategies within agile teams and with the wider tech team

• Consulting with developers to create automated testing strategies and test plans for development tasks

• Implementing test scripts according to test plans and suggesting continuous improvements and enhancing automation tools.

• Creating test processes and providing support for integration testing

• Supporting client’s integration and certification test phase.

• Providing ongoing technical support and maintenance for QA managed systems and infrastructure

• Collaborating with internal and external teams on any changes impacting the QA environment

• Liaising with cross functional project areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues

You bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

• Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity.

• 5+ years of experience in API software testing using automated tools including, Soap UI, Ready API, Soap Sonar, Selenium, Jmeter

• Expertise to write Java and Javascript code for the purpose of testing.

• ISO8583 and ISO20022 will be an asset

• You have scripting/programming experience and experience with various tools to test Web Services & Web based modern applications

• Experience working with multiple internal stakeholders to understand requirements and create automation test plans.

• Understands client server architecture and you are great at testing it

• You can integrate tests with various tools.

• Database processing and ability to write complex SQL queries will be an asset

• Cryptography knowledge will be an asset
