The Business Development, Lead, Direct Channels will be accountable for creating and executing strategic business development plans that will drive revenue growth from our channel partnerships. There is a focus on driving net new revenue opportunities by developing new partnerships to expand Interac’s reach in the market and accelerate business development activities.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Creating and executing strategic plans to drive revenue growth from channel partnerships that lead to net new revenue while supporting and fostering great relationships with existing partners.

  • Driving direct partner engagement including building deep relationships with priority partners to understand their positioning and roadmap, as well as new growth opportunities.

  • Contributing to the achievement of business development plan objectives, meeting and exceeding sales targets and timeframes, while driving results and contributing to the creation of business development strategic and annual operating plans.

  • Broadening relationships with stakeholders to drive more strategic discussions and entrenchment with Interac.

  • Building sales and industry presentations and engaging with stakeholders in the financial ecosystem to elevate Interac as an industry leader.

  • Sharing feedback on the product, processes, etc. with internal stakeholders to ensure continual enhancement of Interac’s product offerings.

  • Working collaboratively across product lines to develop commercialization opportunities that leverage the full suite of Interac product capabilities.

  • Working across multi-disciplined teams to ensure cohesive and detailed business development plans are executed and reported to senior executives with regular dashboards.

  • Working collaboratively across the Interac organization including:
    - Providing critical voice-of-customer feedback to product leads, and
    - Government Relations and Marketing to drive revenue growth outcomes for the organization.

You bring:

  • 7-10 years of business development experience with a proven track record of delivering profitable business growth.

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

  • Strong solution selling capabilities to understand complex client needs and drive revenue opportunities based on Interac products to meet those needs.

  • Experience with business case development, pricing, and understanding of customer bottom line.

  • Strong understanding of channel partnership revenue models, sales cycles, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • The ability to deliver results, prioritize activities, manage time effectively, and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

  • Proficiency at working with internal and external customers in a professional and effective manner to ensure project deadlines are met.

  • A passion to enable Canadians to transact securely.

  • The ability to convey technical concepts with a proven track record of managing initiatives, solving problems, and applying effective planning skills to deliver initiatives successfully.

  • A team-oriented leadership style with a collaborative approach that will build trust across the ecosystem and deliver top and bottom-line results.
