The Infrastructure and Platform Management, Lead—reporting to the Leader, Infrastructure and Platform Managementwill oversee both physical and virtual components of the organization’s IT landscape, including hardware, servers, networks, and software environments. They will also manage relationships with internal and third-party vendors/service providers, ensuring seamless integration, effective service delivery, and alignment with strategic objectives.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with Architecture, Platform Engineering, and Dev-Sec-Ops teams to develop and execute a consistent, secure, and robust infrastructure and platform supporting all product lines and services.

  • Managing operating systems and system software for software currency and stability in platforms (i.e. RHEL, Windows, Ubuntu).

  • Overseeing monitoring and capacity management of all infrastructure and software platforms.

  • Ensuring high availability to meet the Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Service Level Objectives (SLO) of critical systems.

  • Managing vendor relationships to ensure services or products align with specified requirements. Ensuring vendor support commitments are met and that the provided support meets operational requirements.

  • Managing Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Layers 1-7 for critical systems in on-premises and cloud environments.

  • Overseeing system engineering services and support for cloud infrastructure (i.e. Azure and AWS) and virtualized on-premises environments (i.e. VMware, vxRail, Azure Stack Hub).

  • Aiding the implementation of automation for processes and procedures wherever feasible.

  • Reviewing, building, and maintaining technical documentation and operating manuals for physical and logical environments.

  • Ensuring the integrity of fundamental infrastructure operations (availability, monitoring, backup/recovery, capacity) to support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).

  • Quickly learning new technologies and taking ownership of new challenges and responsibilities.

  • Participating in Interac’s ISMS Program, including developing policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Taking part in annual or biennial MSA and ISO audits related to information technology, including evidence gathering and reporting.

  • Conducting regular reviews of vulnerability scans and risk assessments with Security to identify existing or potential weaknesses in systems and processes. Facilitating the remediation of identified vulnerabilities within processes, systems, and applications.

  • Driving the team toward industry-leading practices by implementing methodologies, philosophy, tools, processes, and principles of operational excellence.

You bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT and/or 8+ years of equivalent IT working experience.

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and technical support skills.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships, service, and support contracts.

  • The ability to thrive in strict change-controlled and process-driven environments.

  • Knowledge of and experience with Agile practices.

  • 5+ years of professional experience managing VMware core components, including vCenter, ESX, and vSAN.

  • 5+ years of professional experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, Oracle).

  • 5+ years of professional experience and working knowledge of networking technologies (routing protocols, switching, firewalls, TCP/IP).

  • Experience with hyper-converged systems (i.e., Dell-EMC vxRail).

  • Experience with Next Generation Firewalls (i.e., Palo Alto Networks).

  • Experience with Dell and Cisco switches and routers.

  • Knowledge and experience supporting an ISO27001-governed ISMS practice.

  • Knowledge and experience in managing and troubleshooting infrastructure (i.e., Dell-EMC, Oracle, TrueNAS, Pure Storage).

  • Extensive experience with Active Directory sites and services (including ADFS), Azure AD Connect, Azure AD, AD Certificate Services, Exchange Server, and MS SQL.

  • Knowledge of backup technologies (i.e., Veeam, PPDM/Data Domain).

  • Extensive experience with cloud solutions (i.e., Azure, Azure Stack Hub, AWS, GCP).

  • Knowledge of DevSecOps Tools (i.e., Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Bitbucket, Bamboo, SonarQube, Artifactory); user management, site creation, project creation, and workflows.

  • Knowledge of scripting and automation using BASH, Perl, Python, PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform, and Ansible.

  • Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Azure Automation Update Management, and vRealize monitoring tools.

  • A curiosity and analytical thinking to solve technology, process, or procedural challenges in a team environment.
