The Innovation, Lead—reporting to the Head, Innovation—will be responsible for exploring and validating new ideas while defining the key success metrics for proof of concept (POC) testing and incubation. They will maintain open lines of communication with product owners to develop a deep understanding of relevant offerings within Interac’s lines of business.
You’ll be responsible for:
Exploring and evaluating new idea/opportunity/problems leveraging market insights.
Analyzing Interac’s current products and promoting/recommending solutions and areas of improvement.
Prioritizing areas for growth amongst competing priorities using appropriate criteria.
Defining customer/participant pain points and clearly articulating problem statements.
Ideating to detail problem/opportunity statements, exploring alternative approaches.
Establishing options, flows etc. and defining the path forward, developing POC strategies that align with company goals and customer needs.
Defining the potential Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM), and Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM).
Working with Product, Corporate Development and Finance to align with corporate strategy and financial models.
Developing and presenting supporting business cases.
Defining key success metrics to allow for tracking POC success.
You bring:
10+ years of hands-on experience leading the exploration and validation of new ideas/problems to leverage existing products.
Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
A comprehensive understanding of strategic and economic principles.
Extensive knowledge of the latest payment/verification trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of advancements.
Understanding that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your analytical and critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
Proficiency in business modeling and problem solving that is not only innovative but also practical in addressing real-world business issues.
Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships and time management.
The ability to quickly understand the organization’s products, their features and positioning in the market.
You are a proactive problem-solver with a demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Proven experience in building products (nice to have).
