Customer service and communicating in an open, helpful, and engaging tone with a focus on finding the right solution
Providing first level support and troubleshooting based on calls and tickets.
Diagnosing and resolving technical hardware & software issues
Advising users on appropriate use of corporate systems/devices. Setting up new hardware (desktop, laptops, mobile devices, etc.)
Working with fellow department members and staff to improve computing support delivered to internal staff
Reviewing and updating Service Desk documentation, as needed. Reviewing and recommending modifications to procedures
Learning technology quickly and taking on new challenges & responsibilities
You're a technology student interested in an IT career. You've got:
Customer service or tech support experience, especially in a financial company or technology service provider
An inquisitive nature and passion to figure things out
A need to know your work is making a difference in your customers' day to day work experience
Great communication skills - oral and written; tact & diplomacy
Must have skills:
Good knowledge of corporate IT organization set-ups, operations (e.g., standards, protocols, methods & processes, configurations)
Analytical, judgement & problem solving skills to identify causes of systems malfunctions and perform remedial action
Familiar with Windows and MacOS desktop technologies
Commitment to exemplary customer service
Nice to have skills:
Microsoft Active Directory
Experience with mobile devices
Knowledge of Office 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
Experience using ServiceNow
Workstyle: 100% on site
Location: Toronto
Duration: January - April 2024
*Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity
