Internal Communications Specialist
You are a well-rounded communications professional who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting the Communications team with all internal communications programming. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you will play a key role in coordinating successful program delivery across internal, digital and corporate communications, digital content creation, and employee engagement with opportunities to expand skillsets into other areas of communications including external communications, public relations, and sponsorships.

Writing and editing for all audiences.
Being organized and managing coordination across different teams.
Managing the administration of digital communication platforms, including intranets, and content management systems: WordPress, SharePoint etc.
Partnering with different departments, including HR, to communicate employee announcements, organizational changes, business milestones, and other employee engagement content.
Planning and executing key internal communications and employee engagement programs that drive understanding of corporate strategy, including corporate town halls, question and answer sessions, forums and other corporate events including the Annual General Meeting. This includes event logistics, content development, speaker preparation, and executing content strategies.
Activating the employer brand/employee value proposition to support employee retention and recruitment, with a focus on internal communications and employee engagement execution.
Driving employee advocacy through management of a digital employee advocacy tool and activating internal programming to increase usage in a way that supports employee social media policies and promotes brand reputation and Employee Value Proposition.
Providing support cross-functionally for business related communications leveraging corporate channels, including creating messaging, visuals, etc.
Creating and distributing a monthly corporate newsletter for employee audiences, including working cross functionally to inform the right updates and content plan.
Managing basic video editing platforms or light image editing.
Creatively using and getting the most out of Microsoft Office Suite products, e.g. Power Point.
Creativity and problem-solving.
Producing and sharing digital analytics to support reporting for internal audiences.
Passionate about learning and sharing the latest best practices and trends in communications and digital content.
Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and projects easily.
Who are you?
You’re an excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communications skills.
You have a University degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (e.g., PR, Communications, Marketing).
You have 3-5 years’ experience in Communications (any combination of internal or external).
You have strong technical skills and learn and navigate new software quickly and effectively.
You are a collaborator with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You are able to listen to, understand and respond appropriately and effectively when interacting with others.
You can prioritize a high workload effectively, respond well to pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing business and partner needs.
You are detail-oriented and obsessed with high-quality results.
You have some skills in graphic design and video editing and are eager to learn more.
You are a flexible team player ready to pitch in where you are needed and a self-starter who can navigate times of ambiguity.
The nice-to-have skills. While it’s not a requirement, ability to communicate in French would be a fantastic asset to our team.
