The Senior Configuration Analyst specializes in the configuration of Finance, (Billing and Payroll) systems. This role focuses on executing configurations based on predefined requirements while working closely with Functional and Implementation Leads to ensure successful integration and deployment of solutions. The Senior Configuration Analyst must manage problem resolution effectively, providing clear explanations of issues and their resolutions, and must possess strong technological, communication, and problem-solving skills.


What you’ll do

  • Participates in benefits implementation and service enhancement projects using technology tools and techniques employed by TELUS Health

  • Configure finance (billing and payroll) modules via TELUS Health proprietary software to meet predefined client requirements, ensuring accurate and functional setups.

  • Collaborate closely with Functional and Implementation Leads throughout the project lifecycle to ensure seamless integration and effective solution deployment.

  • Sets realistic and achievable expectations for deliverables

  • Manage and resolve configuration issues, providing clear and understandable explanations of problems and solutions.

  • Ensure timely and high-quality outcomes by maintaining strict adherence to project schedules and standards.

  • Participate in ongoing communications with project teams and clients to provide updates and gather feedback on configuration status and functionality.

  • Provide post-implementation support, addressing any configuration issues that arise and making necessary adjustments to enhance system performance.

  • Work as a member of the benefits implementation team configuring to meet the requirements of our new and existing clients.

  • Promotes teamwork and collegiality in the work environment

  • Attends internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends

  • Assists with special projects and other tasks, as required

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuring H&W or finance systems, in

  • Strong expertise in business process modeling, system configuration, and web/mobile application design.

  • Strong understanding of health and welfare benefits

  • Solid SQL knowledge, plus proficiency in at least one coding language is required.

  • Solid understanding in payroll systems, and system integration methodologies.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative solution development.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to work independently, drive innovation

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex system challenges.

  • Experience with financial reporting, payment processing, and system testing is a plus.

  • Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
