This new role offers the opportunity for a Full Stack Developer to join a growing team on the ground-floor and help them to become the software platform of choice for protecting animal health and increasing the sustainability of the animal protein industry.

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a Full Stack Developer with 5+ years of experience to join their team based out of the Guelph, Ontario area. In this role you'll build fully-fledged platforms using a range of different technologies. You'll be involved in the entire product development lifecycle including the design, development, deployment and maintenance of new and existing features. You'll write clean and functional code on the front- and back-end. You'll collaborate closely with the development team to ensure system consistency and to create a great user experience. You'll write reusable and maintainable code. You'll optimize web design for mobile for maximum speed. Ultimately, your work will have a direct impact on the stability and user experience of our client’s products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
  

• Design client-side and server-side architecture
  

• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  

• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  

• Write effective APIs
  

• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  

• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role (minimum 5 years' experience)
  

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
  

• Highly proficient in working with both front- and back-end languages.
  

• Deep knowledge of C# and .NET, including experience with .NET Core
  

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (like Angular, React, and Vue).
  

• Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (like HTML, CSS and JavaScript).
  

• Familiarity with databases (like MySQL or MSSQL) and UI/UX design.
  

• Experience with cloud architecture (Microsoft Azure including Azure SQL Server PaaS)
  

• Previous experience with testing and debugging.
  

• Great time management skills, and the ability to be a self-starter.
  

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  

• Curiosity about new technologies and finding ways to implement them in your work.
