This is a fixed term contract position for 15 months.

As Associate Trade Marketing Manager, you will oversee all customer-related marketing activities and action plans for our Lighters category in DACH (Germany/Austria/Switzerland), in alignment with European marketing guidelines and local priorities, and in close collaboration with the local sales management team:

  • You will develop annual promotional plans for all channels in the DACH region, working closely with the sales team, Marketing Manager, and European stakeholders to align with business priorities and customer and consumer needs.
  • You will coordinate local co-packing activities for promotional SKUs and display solutions in collaboration with the packaging and co-packing departments (e.g., creation of stickers, displays, etc.).
  • You will present action plans for new SKUs and/or promotional products to the local sales team; train, motivate, and challenge them to achieve targeted results and enhance their product knowledge.
  • You will safeguard category profitability through in-depth P&L analysis.
  • You will analyze market data, panel insights, and sales figures to communicate our local market position, price positioning, competitive landscape, strengths, weaknesses, and market opportunities to HQ, local management, and the sales team.
  • You will identify local opportunities and make recommendations based on market data analysis and field research.
  • You will independently manage all PR activities and B2B advertising across various media channels, and develop trade assets, merchandising materials, customer leaflets, and catalogues.
  • You will serve as a point of contact for external agencies and stakeholders, coordinating all projects in close collaboration (e.g., PR agencies, creative agencies, promotional product suppliers).
  • You will be responsible for organizing trade fairs in close coordination with our suppliers and the sales team.
  • You will support the Marketing Manager in managing the marketing budget and assume responsibility for a portion of it.
  • You will establish assortment and product price positioning in accordance with Group Marketing policy and aligned with local market expectations.
  • You will conduct regular customer visits and store checks to maintain close market contact and stay informed about market, competitor, and customer developments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher education, university degree
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a marketing role (trade marketing, category management...)
  • Experience in CPG/ FMCG industry is a valuable plus
  • Good knowledge of market and customers
  • Team spirit
  • Drive for results
  • Fluent German & English

Role based out of Eschborn (near Frankfurt), Germany with flexible remote-work policy.
