Overview:

As a Plant Financial Manager you will serve as a key Finance Business Partner to the North American Co-Packing & Distribution Operations (Charlotte, NC & Arlington, TX), ensuring financial accuracy, cost control, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting, providing data-driven insights to support decision-making, and will play a critical role in budgeting, standard costing, variance analysis, and process improvements while working cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting

  • Provide a holistic view of co-packing and distribution center financial performance.

  • Develop and maintain standard product costs.

  • Analyze line performance, efficiencies, and variances, recommending cost-saving strategies and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including expense reports, variance analysis, and cost trend reports.

  • Ensure month-end close processes are completed accurately and on time.

Operational & Cost Control Management

  • Lead cost management initiatives, ensuring costs are within budget and aligned with operational goals.

  • Track, audit, and analyze inventory cycle counts, reconciling variances and ensuring proper controls.

  • Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) tracking and ensure projects stay within budget.

  • Evaluate labor cost efficiencies, tracking costs, headcount, and productivity.

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to optimize financial performance and enhance decision-making.

  • Identify and highlight financial risks and opportunities, proactively driving solutions.

  • Provide insights to support strategic initiatives, product launches, and investments.

  • Support continuous improvement projects focused on automation, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.

Compliance, Controls, and Process Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, IFRS, and audit requirements.

  • Manage internal controls for transactions, assets, and reporting processes.

  • Develop financial tools and processes to improve data accuracy and forecasting.

  • Drive improvements in financial systems and reporting, leveraging JDE, Power BI, Cognos, Hyperion, and other financial tools.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and professional growth.

  • Foster transparency, collaboration, and accountability across finance and operations.

  • Effectively communicate financial insights to key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field. CMA, MBA a plus.

  • 7+ years of experience in finance preferably in manufacturing, supply chain or other fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Strong business partnering skills, able to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams.

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables) required, advanced proficiency a plus (Power Query). PowerBI experience a plus.

  • Financial systems/ tools (ERP, consolidation) experience required. JDE, HFM a plus.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
