About the Role
Info-Tech Research Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst with an aptitude for project management to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for managing relationships with various business leaders and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, design, and deliver optimized solutions that align with Info-Tech’s business objectives.
The Business Analyst will facilitate project intake, prioritization, contribute to project and portfolio-level planning and reporting, and manage change when business priorities change.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Work with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements for strategic corporate projects and related systems in Infrastructure and Security Operations.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Translate complex business needs into clear and actionable requirements for technical implementation.
Solution Design:
- Collaborate with technical teams to assist in solution design for various projects.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including process flows, user stories and acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and wireframes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with business users, system administrators, project managers, and developers to set priorities, identify risks, address questions, resolve issues, and drive successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and deployment teams to ensure accurate implementation of designed solutions.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate that solutions meet specified requirements and troubleshoot issues during testing and user acceptance phases.
Training and Support:
- Provide end-user training and support to ensure successful adoption and utilization of solutions.
- Assist in the creation of user documentation and training materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Lead with a strong understanding of technology and its application in optimizing business processes.
- Ability to work effectively with business leaders to understand, communicate, and own project requirements, then use this knowledge and experience to direct successful project outcomes
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and managing intake, prioritization, requirements gathering, and benefits analysis processes.
- Critical thinker able to evaluate situations objectively, understand complex systems, consider different perspectives, and make data-informed decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build trust and engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, diligent, and fast learner with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, and ITSM Suite.
