About the Role:
The Manager, Inventory & Costing will play a hands-on role within the Finance team, overseeing the inventory and costing function with a focus on accurate transaction processing and the reconciliation of consolidated inventory. This role partners closely with Technology to deliver ongoing costing and inventory analysis, while providing strategic guidance to optimize processes, improve visibility, and support informed decision-making across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain full accountability for system cost of sales, including:
Preparing financial analysis and accounting for system installation costs
Managing inventory accounting and manufacturing cost of sales
Analyzing manufacturing variances and cost drivers
Partnering with global manufacturing, logistics, and production teams to ensure accurate cost reporting
Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of monthly and quarterly inventory and costing reconciliations, including supporting schedules and documentation required for financial reporting and the annual audit process.
Perform detailed analysis, reconciliation, and revenue/cost recognition related to Aftermarket Sales projects.
Review and approve job costing module reconciliations, ensuring timely clearing of jobs to accruals, cost of sales, or fixed assets as appropriate.
Review contractual agreements to determine inventory title transfer, and oversee accounting treatment for decommissioned systems.
Act as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors on matters related to inventory valuation, costing, and cost of sales.
Partner with Supply Chain leadership to analyze cost variances, support cycle counts, and manage the year-end inventory count and reconciliation process.
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to one direct report.
Maintain and update labour and overhead absorption rates within the Materials Management module, ensuring costing accuracy.
Support cost optimization and process improvement initiatives, including establishing system controls and documenting procedures to enhance business process efficiency.
Prepare qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify trends, explain variances, and support management decision-making.
Review inter-company financial postings related to inventory, and prepare elimination entries where required to ensure accurate consolidated reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent in business.
CPA designation with several years of costing and inventory accounting experience.
Advanced Microsoft Office Experience, especially expert Excel
ERP (e.g. SAP) experience is preferred, specifically the Materials Management (MM) module.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and analytical.
Maintains ownership of responsibilities and takes initiative to put forward enhancements.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high volume and dynamic environment.
Must be available to work overtime as required (ex. month-end, quarter-end, year-end).

Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche :
$87,628.00 / 87.628,00$ - $109,535.00 / 109.535,00$ (per year / par an) Final pay within this range will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and the geographic location of the role.
