Job Overview

As our Production Manager, you’ll be the engine behind our R&D, in-house manufacturing production, supply chain, logistics, and operational strategy. You’ll manage the full lifecycle of Guided Hands®, from procurement and 3D printing to assembly, quality control, and global delivery. You’ll also lead value-driven improvements across manufacturing and operations, helping us scale efficiently while staying true to our mission. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on turning complexity into clarity and building scalable systems from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Management: Own and optimize the entire supply chain, managing procurement through fulfillment while maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, timeliness, and alignment with production goals.
  • Manufacturing & Production: Lead in-house production of Guided Hands®, managing 20+ 3D printers, supporting assembly staff, and driving process optimization to eliminate inefficiencies and build scalable systems.
  • Global Fulfillment & Logistics: Manage global shipping operations, including packaging optimization, cross-border logistics, and courier management.
  • Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure ISO compliance through quality inspections, detailed product documentation, and the management of QMS, version tracking, and barcoding systems.
  • Customer Experience Support: Create and manage processes for handling customer complaints, warranty claims, returns, and product reliability issues.
  • Product Development: Collaborate closely with engineers and the disability community to develop and test new Guided Hands® products.
  • Reseller Management & Purchase Orders: Manage bulk reseller shipments and purchase orders from fulfillment to timely payment.
  • Team Management & Reporting: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence. Manage cross-functional team members and report on manufacturing KPIs, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Value Chain Optimization: Analyze and improve operational workflows and the value chain to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain management; experience in assistive tech or consumer hardware is a strong asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Proven experience managing a full product lifecycle—managing production, scaling manufacturing, and improving supply chain systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen, with the ability to think strategically, take calculated risks, and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Customer-centric with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and products.
  • Experience with 3D printing and other manufacturing methods.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and adaptable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
  • Passion for social impact, accessibility, and building technology that serves people with disabilities.
